Table Inspiration

Hi Ladies! The event is now less than a month away, and we are SO EXCITED! For anyone who has signed up to be a table hostess...or anyone who is on the fence, and needs a little inspiration, this post is for you!

The creativitiy each year always amazes me ( check out our gallery for pics)! Here are some tips and inspiration for all of our table hostesses, and especially new table hostesses, to get you looking forward to the event!

-Play with different levels. You can use adorable decorative boxes, books, etc. to stack and create layers for your centerpiece.

-Don't be afraid to mix patterns and textures. Go bold with your tablecloth, napkins, and china designs to create a unique look. This is an awesome way to rock a monochromatic theme!

-Mix "elements". Some of the coolest tables blend the warm glow of the candlelight with water in vases, twigs, springy flowers, or even rocks.

-Style and re-work your table a few times before you finalize your design. You will be able to see any "gaps" and areas that you can put an extra special touch.

-As you can tell from the blog, and from past events we love a good theme! Start with a concept and run with it! I found some elements of my personal style that really inspired me, then rounded out the design by checking out TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, and other shops around town.

-If you are having trouble with a "theme", you can start with a statement piece, then work around that. For example: dishes that you have, a special decoration, or collection that you have.

Vibrant // Ladies Candlelight Dinner is almost here!

It's so exciting to think that in a little over a month we will be at our 16th Ladies Candlelight Dinner!!  We have such a fun night planned for you!  We have been dreaming and praying for this since last year's Candlelight Dinner.  

What I love about this event is that it brings women together to connect, relax, and be pampered.  I remember last year sitting at my beautiful table surrounded by friends and family, in a beautiful space, after eating the best polenta I'd ever had, listening to Sara Groves sing her heart out I thought, "I want to take a polaroid of this moment right here, and save it in my memory forever"... because it was so special.  You could feel God in that place.  

We know that you live very busy lives, and the demands that you face everyday (not to mention the current temperatures...) can start to dull your shine. We want you to have an opportunity to come and turn everything else off and have a great experience that you'll be thinking about for weeks and months after. You are LOVED!  The theme "Vibrant" came from the verse John 10:10 where Jesus says "... I have come that you might have LIFE and have it to the fullest."  We hope that through Ladies Candlelight Dinner 2016 you will find some of that "Vibrant" life.  (ps.... we had a blast being crazy and "vibrant" at our photo shoot with the GREAT Carissa Christine Swartout who does all of our design work and photography!  She is the best!)

We have partnered with Jubilee Event Planning for this year's dinner and they have been working like little busy bees already to create an inspiring "Vibrant" environment that will wow you the moment you walk in.  

Catering By Design has a fabulous menu planned for you, starting with a delicious hors d'ouevres when you walk in and followed by a delicious dessert that will spoil you.

Dara Maclean is going to be our special guest!!!!!  She is one of my favorite singer/songwriters.  Dara is an internationally known artist.  She's soulful, and articulate.  I know it will be another night I will want to save in my memory banks.  One of my favorite Dara songs is called "Yours Forever".
